Three carefully crafted itineraries across Central and Eastern Europe. Each led personally by Alex, limited to sixteen participants, and built around two decades of on-the-ground expertise.
From Budapest through Szeged and the Banat to the wine towns of Tokaj, with a day across the border in Košice and Prešov. Three countries, eleven days, one continuous thread of memory.
From the Danube to the Carpathians — Budapest's synagogues, Oradea's Art Nouveau quarter, the medieval towns of Transylvania, and Bucharest's remarkable Choral Synagogue.
Deep into the landscapes of Eastern European Jewish memory — from Iași through Moldavia's forgotten communities and into Bukovina, the land of the Baal Shem Tov's heirs and great Hasidic dynasties.
Our group tours are thoughtfully designed so you can focus on the experience. Here's what's included in the tour price.
Alex leads every small group tour personally. At key sites along the way, expert local guides bring their specialist knowledge to enrich the experience — each one carefully selected for their depth and passion.
Carefully chosen hotels that balance comfort, character, and convenience — always well-located and close to the sites we visit.
A dedicated private vehicle for the group throughout — no public transport, no waiting, and the flexibility to adjust the route when something unexpected arises.
Every synagogue, museum, memorial site, archive visit, and cultural entry fee is included in the tour price. There are no hidden extras on the road.
Daily breakfast at your hotel, plus select group lunches and dinners. Other meals are at your own expense, giving you the freedom to explore local dining.
Our tours are designed to be accessible to anyone with a genuine interest in Jewish heritage, regardless of prior knowledge. The pace is unhurried — we are not trying to cover everything, but to understand what we do see.
Group sizes are capped at sixteen participants. This is not a marketing claim — it is a firm limit, because it is the size at which a group can still enter a private archive, sit around a table for a shared dinner, and move through a cemetery without feeling like an invasion.
Flights are not included in the tour price. We are happy to advise on routing and arrival cities. International travel insurance with medical coverage is mandatory for all participants; we also strongly recommend cancellation cover.
If none of our group tours match your dates, your family's geography, or the kind of experience you're imagining — we can build something entirely your own.
